CA Single-Shot Exemption

I briefly mentioned the single-shot exemption in a comment regarding the FNP-45 Tactical. The single-shot exemption allows California consumers to legally purchase handguns that are not on the Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale. Calguns.net has a thread that explains the single-shot exemption in great detail. There is also a CA DOJ information bulletin that discusses the subject here. The only other way to obtain an off-list gun is to purchase one used through a private party transfer (the handgun roster refers to handguns dealers may sell; it has no effect on what citizens may own).
